Disclaimer: Although purchased as hens and chicks from my supplier, a very low percentage of the plants displayed the outer seed pods when I grew them out. Most plants will look like a regular poppy pod. I find I am happy with the low percentage for my purposes.
 
Although the flowers are not good for cutting, the pods of these poppies are divine in early summer arrangements. I also let them dry on the plant to be used later on in dry bouquets.
